It’s always sad to hear when I lose one of the dogs I bred. I recently heard from Ava’s parents:

“It is with great sadness we wanted to share with you the passing on of our Ava. I sent you a photo of her about a year and a half ago when she turned a beautiful 13…we were so so lucky to have had another bday with her! She would have turned 15 in November. She was from one of Martha’s litters. We can’t thank you enough for the great joy Ava brought to our home. She was such a huge part of our family! We loved her so much and she loved us back even more! She was everything from smart, stubborn, active, a lazybones and the best snuggler. She most definitely thought she was a person. Sometime she stole our food….she was at times hard to sleep with…and she would steal your seat if you got up too! She was always by our side…and we allowed her to train us well!  We wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Thank you for allowing us to share our lives with the best pup ever!”

So we celebrate the long life that Ava had!
